DAY DIVA: DAY MAKE UP APPLICATION
- Introduction to make up products, tools and equipment you need to achieve a professional look - what you MUST have in YOUR make up kit to achieve a great look!
- Watch a professional make up artist demonstrate first hand step by step tips on how day make up is correctly applied for your own skin type and face shape
- Find out about the latest and greatest - learn about the latest make up products, the technology behind them and the ingredients within them
- Discover what tools to use for what purpose (brushes, sponges, pencils, curlers and more)
- Learn what different types of make up are for (e.g. cream versus liquid foundation)
- Necessary health and hygiene - when you should throw a product or make up tool away and how to keep them clean to avoid un-necessary irritations and health problems
- Fool proof application techniques - no matter how shaky your hands are or what sort of rush you are in!
- How to achieve a 'natural' day time look, or a slightly heavier day look for special day time events
- What face shape you are and how to make the most of it
- Discover what skin types and facial features suit different colours and applications
- Ask any burning questions you may have
- The workshop will conclude with a practical to ensure that you are confident with your new found techniques.

MAKE UP ARTIST TO THE STARS The workshops are taken by our talented in-house make up artist Marina Passalaris, who has just returned from working at Sydney Fashion week to share her wisdom - educating, inspiring and empowering you to apply your own make up.
Marina has worked as a professional make up artist for over 10 years, both nationally and internationally. Her portfolio includes work for television, fashion shows, television commercials and hair shows, as well as teaching make up at modelling agencies around the world.
Her work has included the Melbourne Cup and Sunshine Plaza catalogues, and the Ralph Magazine Calender. Marina's subjects have been featured in Ralph Magazine, Oyster Magazine, Playboy, Penthouse, Inside Sports, Maxim (UK), Loaded (UK), New Idea Magazine, Style and Revive Magazine, and the Sunshine Coast Daily. Her clients have included Jo Beth Taylor, John Woods from Blue Heelers, Fiona Simpson (MP), and AFL player Jonathon Brown, as well as corporate clients such as Toyota, Lendlease, Juniper and Stocklands.
Marina has the ability to impart her knowledge with everyone in an extremely fun and down to earth way - from teenagers to grandmothers, from those with no previous make up experience to those who just want to update their look or gain the confidence that they are on the right track!
